NEW TIME!!!! More CHAINSAW assistance needed Sun, March 2!

NEW TIME --- 9AM at ROCKY RIDGE

The forecast for freezing rain/ice to start in the early afternoon is prompting a change to 9am for tree cleanup at Rocky Ridge. Please bring hand saws, cutters, and chainsaws if you own them. Everyone will be on their own as far as tools. Trails 5, 6, 7 are cleaned up. We will start working in the back of the park. Meet in the front paved lot.

Thanks to all of the volunteers last weekend who helped at the Lakes.

More help is still needed to clear downed trees from the trails. We are going to switch to Rocky Ridge this weekend. Sunday, March 2, 9AM. Meet in the front paved parking lot. Please bring a chainsaw and any cutting tools you may have to assist in clearing the downed trees. Every single trail at RR is completely impassable due to the downed trees and limbs. It appears the damage is somewhat less severe than the photo you see on the YAMBA home page right now from the Lakes. However, every single trail needs to be cleared. YAMBA has some snacks courtesy of the local bike shops. Please wear sturdy shoes, bring gloves, and water, and please bring any hand saws, chainsaws, or other cutting tools you may own to assist. We will work until approximately 5pm clearing as many trails as possible.

Hope to see another great turnout this weekend. We plan to have trailwork sessions every weekend until the trails have been cleared.

Thanks, Dan

Thanks to everyone who helped at Rocky Ridge this weekend to get the park totally cleaned up. All trails are now passable. Lets hope the snow melts quickly so we can actually ride our bikes again!
Thanks to Kevin Westover, Ed Billet, and Aaron (not sure last name) who worked with me on Saturday.
Thanks to Eric Grove, Keith Trimmer, Ed Billet, Sam Stein, Jim Kraft, Jason Bloomfield, Blake Bricker, Brad Christine and BJ Treglia for helping today.

Awesome effort to get the every trail in the park cleared of trees from the ice storm last month!!!!
